Where to begin…

I love a particular sound, music, that resonates through the ear, a collective organization of noises that lives through time yet never reveals itself to be seen. A harmony of vibrations that share the same range of notes but can still find a uniqueness in different keys as well as in their length of existence or the life of each note. From its beginning to its end, an individual fragment is no greater then the whole it was abstracted from. A single note is musical, having an attribute or likeness to music but not by its self a song or composition, only a “piece” of music in the most literal or literary sense. A movement may be part of a complete or whole piece of music but is also no greater then the entire piece from which it belongs, in its proper place for which it was created. A multitude of notes in various keys, balanced harmoniously through time gives an entire piece its fullest meaning during its one and only ever existence. The two-hundredth performance of a piece may sound identical to the one-hundred and ninety-ninth performance but it is still unique to its one encapsulated moment and existence in time.
